Challenge: Phone Upgrades to Support a Dynamic Working Environment
Large office environments can put a strain on employee communications and effective customer service. Add in moving parts (and dogs) to a dynamic working environment, and you have a recipe for unnecessary employee stress. In these large working environments, mobility in communications is key to managing the space effectively. Kiefer at Bark Park noticed that the size of the location posed a direct threat to their mission, to ensure the safety and security of the pets in their care, as well as provide attentive customer service to both pets and their owners. Kiefer sought a solution that could help his employees manage the space and pets effectively, while still being able to provide top tier customer service, and reached out to BlueCloudUSA for options.
BlueCloudUSA worked with Keifer to design a custom solution for Bark Park, to improve coverage, mobility, and durability of the phone system. BlueCloudUSA installed range extenders for the cordless phones to increase coverage, necessary to combat cordless phone dead zones from the size of the building and the presence of the large, metal kennels. To allow the employees mobility to manage the space effectively, BlueCloudUSA set up a state of the art door buzzer that was integrated with the phone service. The door buzzers were installed at the entrances of two of their locations, and when pressed create a different ringtone allowing employees to distinguish between customers at the entrance and phone calls. Cordless phones were ruggedized with special cases to increase phone durability, and allow the employees to use the phones in a dynamic environment.
According to Kiefer, the door buzzers have improved employee ability to control access for the dogs and ensure that they always maintain complete control of the situation. Since the door buzzers have a different ringtone, employees have the necessary information to prioritize their duties. On the customer’s end, the door buzzer makes a ringing noise, and plays a message to assure the customer that a staff member will be with them shortly, giving staff ample time to ensure the security of the animals and then attend to the customers. As for the installed range extenders, Kiefer mentioned that the extended cordless phone coverage allows them to take calls from any part of the building. Employees don’t need to run back to a wired phone in the office area or worry about cordless dead zones, which has allowed them to be more responsive to customers and not have to sacrifice care to the animals. Thanks to the VOIP technology implemented by BlueCloudUSA, Kiefer and his team can focus on providing quality customer service for customers, and ensure the safety and security of their pets.
